We were delighted to be invited to the UK and Ireland Lakes Conference held in Glasgow this week.

The UK and Ireland Lakes Network is an association of people and organisations who recognise the challenge of managing lakes through a whole catchment approach. The charitable trust work to share experience and expertise gained across the UK and Ireland.

Dr Lynsey Harper from the Freshwater Biological Association spoke about the #BigWindermereSurvey collaboration with Dr Ben Surridge of Lancaster University.

Details of the most recent survey will be released later this autumn.

In addition Alison Whalley, Love Windermere project manager, spoke about the project’s work while Tim Duckmanton from the Lake District National Park Authority discussed sustainable finance.
